"LUCY'S PRAYER"

She bows her little head

Folds her tiny hands

Hello God, it's me again

and there ain't nothin i really need...

But God down the hall you can hear my mama cry

She's trying to pray, asking for more time

Even though we know, it's almost time for me to go

I don't know, will she make it on her own

Please send her a friend that can wipe away her tears

so she's not alone, the rest of her years...

We know the doctors tried

I was losing hair

it's ok, i'm all prepared

to see my Jesus with open arms...

But God down the hall you can hear my mama cry

She's trying to pray, asking for more time

Even though we know, it's almost time for me to go

I don't know, will she make it on her own

Please send her a friend that can wipe away her tears

so she's not alone, the rest of her years...

then she bows her little head...
